Know More About Me

As someone with over 7 years of experience in real estate, I’ve observed firsthand the ongoing challenges that homeowners—particularly first-time buyers and individuals unfamiliar with property upkeep—face when it comes to home maintenance. After joining the real estate industry in 2018 and quickly becoming the top producer in my company by 2019, I found that my role extended far beyond buying and selling homes. Clients often continued reaching out to me for support with maintenance issues well after their purchase was complete. This wasn’t limited to new buyers—homeowners of all types frequently encountered repair or maintenance problems they weren’t equipped to handle.

Drawing from my past involvement in charity work and my desire to continue helping people beyond the sales process, I began planning a home maintenance company in 2023 and officially registered it in 2024. However, I quickly realized that the traditional home maintenance model is burdened by inefficiencies—high operating costs for service providers, a lack of flexibility, and inconvenient scheduling for homeowners. These obstacles make it difficult for such companies to scale effectively while maintaining affordability and accessibility.

To address this gap, I launched HandyHomey (www.handyhomy.com), a tech-based platform that brings automation into the real estate services space by connecting property owners with nearby home maintenance professionals—much like Uber connects drivers and passengers. The app acts as a professional dispatcher: once a technician is assigned to a task, they assess the job on-site and proceed with an estimate and service. What sets HandyHomey apart from other B2C or C2C platforms is its flexibility—service providers set their own rates based on skill, availability, and job type, while HandyHomey takes a percentage only after accounting for overhead costs and project complexity.

Another critical component of the platform is language accessibility. As of 2022, there are over 26 million individuals in the U.S. with limited English proficiency (LEP), and as of 2021, over 10 million LEP households are homeowners. These individuals often struggle to find service professionals who speak their native language—adding an extra barrier to essential home services. HandyHomey is built with inclusivity in mind, helping bridge the language gap between homeowners and technicians by allowing professionals to list their spoken languages.

With a unique blend of real estate expertise, startup investment experience, and leadership roles—including co-founding Tokma Corporation and serving as an entrepreneur at Encrypted Technologies Pvt. Ltd.—I’ve built HandyHomey not just as a business, but as a mission-driven solution to empower both homeowners and skilled technicians through technology, convenience, and trust.
